How to decorate a high pitch ceiling?

Question

I have a section in my Great Room where the ceiling has a high pitch and I want to do something but I haven't a clue what to do im a conservative person I'be seem to have gravitated to memorizing my children which I'm not sure is healthy even if I don't win any suggestions will be very helpful Thanks

I had a high sloped ceiling in my sunroom which was rather bland. I purchased wallpaper hummingbirds (Wallies) and pasted several of them randomly on the ceiling. It was a nice conversation piece to look up and see a hummingbird. Check out some wall paper websites for ideas. Craft stores also sell these stickers.

I have one also. I am thinking of painting it a pleasant sky blue and then add some puffy white clouds, possibly a bird or two way, way up high (small). I am even thinking of adding 'framing' to define it as a 'skylight' kind of effect. Or if you prefer, a night sky with glistening dots for stars and planets. I guess it would depend upon when you use it and how. I like the night sky look for in dining rooms. Lower the lighting and the effect is very romantic.

If its the tall wall leading to the high ceiling a few things I like is color, a large fabulous painting, a fabric art piece, a quilt, a kimono, a 1000 origami cranes, a huge spray of butterflies, and I also love the new wall decals,
