Replacing screen panels in Lani ?

The offered tips below work fine if you are able to remove the frames or door and repair on a flat surface, But my issue is replacing a screen in an side wall screen on my lani. Some are over my head the others are within my reach.....all are on straight up and down, flat cage framing.icon

What is the recommended way to hold the screen in place before actually inserting the spline strips? I'll be doing this project by myself, I'm thinking of using duct tape across the top waste edge to hold the section in place. Probably a dumb idea but I need a way of keeping the screen straight and taught. The sections are 3.5 ft tall by 5ft long? Thank you for any tips. Rustyicon

Rusty, Put the spleen in place across the top, leaving 1inch corners open. Roll spleen into place about 8-10 inches down each side keeping it straight ,gradually working each side a short distance and spleening(?) as you go. At the bottom use a clamp on plier to add weight so you can spleen bottom. The key is a LITTLE on each side as you move down. Then go back and do each corner.Trim with razor blade.

Hire a professional. That's what I did and being free of aggravation was well worth the cost. Really didn't cost that much and he did it while in place. Didn't take anything down.
