I haven't used SALT, or vinigar, but I have friends say that salt works really well. Hope it will work

I have the same problem. I dissolve about a cup of salt in hot water, add to large pump spraying jug and add vinegar. Give it a swirl to mix and spray the weeds. If you do it on a hot day, the weeds will be dead and shriveled in a short amount of time. As time goes by, you will need to do it again...weeds are persistent.

Did you put down weed barrier landscaping fabric before you spread the rocks? This will help prevent the weeds from pushing up through the rocks. But from time to time, you will still have to kill their roots with Round Up.

Unfortunately weed control is a fact of any yard maintenance.

It looks like there aren't other plantings that you'd like to grow in that area, so just boil water in your tea kettle and poor the boiling water over the weeds to kill them. No chemicals or plastics to lay down.

Boiling water works on weeds in cracks in sidewalks also, although I must say that I find weeds in the cracks in my sidewalk and padio quite beautiful as long as I keep them short.

I use 1 Gal. vinegar, 2 c. epsom salt and 1/4 c. dish det. Put all in large sprayer & shake well. Works like a charm and non-toxic. Apply in morning.

If you are extremely careful, you can "paint" weed killer on weed's foliage. If weed's roots are intertwined with plants you want to retain, try boiling water and salt.
