Apply just enough caulk to cover. Use small paint brushes damp but not soaked. Gently brush off excess! Wiping brush frequently.

Hi Connie, it does take some practice to get the hang of applying caulk...sort of like decorating a cake! LOL! One tip I learned was to mask off the two areas and just caulk in between. You can spread the caulk even-ing it out with a moistened finger, wiping any extra thickness away. After this, just pull off the masking tape being careful not to mess up the caulk. After you do a few feet of it you'll get better at the application of it and may not need to mask at all. Practice makes perfect!

Hi Connie. I highly recommend using a caulking gun. It gives you more control. Just go slow and take your time. Like with anything else, practice makes perfect. Best of luck, Connie.

    1. Apply 2 strips of tape leaving an empty "stripe" where you want the caulk
    2. Using a caulking gun, apply a uniform bead.
    3. Wet your finger with water.
    4. Go over the bead to even out the bumps.
    5. Remove tape while still wet.

Cut a small hole at a sharp angle so the caulking is more controlled. Once the caulking has been applied, wet your finger and slide it along the caulking having your finger almost parallel with the wall. Wipe the excess on a paper towel and repeat. Corners are more difficult but just keep your finger wet and try to do one whole edge with one swipe.
