Need a barrier to protect my yard. Ideas?

You can put some large rocks there and you can paint them for more appeal.

I once lived on a corner lot where accidents occurred, and learned after moving in that a car had once hit the house. The previous owner had planted some deciduous trees, erected a very sturdy log fence, and planted some thick evergreen shrubs inside it at that corner. Despite these barriers, there continued to be so many accidents along there that we didn't let kids play in that area. If you don't have room for a thick tree and shrub barrier, look into a masonry wall, or in a suburban or rural area, some strategically placed large boulders. Watch out for town rules on visibility and setbacks.

Thanks, all! I think we're going to go with bollards and attach trellises to them to grow clematis or some other vining plant.

better check with any property owner's association before you build anything ... and be sure what ever you build won't create a 'blind spot' for motorists or persons exiting or entering your property. So sorry this happened!!

Plant trees

I like Naomie's suggestion. I would sink them in the ground with concrete in front of the fence posts and paint them the color of the fence

Same thing happened to me in 2013. I put in place concrete jersey barriers had to check with county first as long as on ur property and not in the right of way. Also u must either paint yellow or put road reflectors so blocks are visible
