Not sure what you mean by Junk money paint . It pays to use high quality paint in the kitchen and bathrooms especially . I have a decent size kitchen and I didn’t use more than 2 gallons .....really gal and a half . Depends how many coats it takes to cover. Even some of the one coat pIntsntakes more. They make primer for light colors and now have one for dark colors if you’re wanting to paint over a really light color and make it darker use this primer it will save you money in the end !

The quality of your brushes and rollers, colors, and the skill level of the painter, can also affect how much paint you will need to achieve desired results.
