I was at the Dollar Tree today, while my hubby went to Harbor freight. I wanted to make a pumpkin from all materials from the Dollar tree. So I grabbed six dollar of items and some extra bags. I headed home to make a shabby chic pumpkin. Let the fun begin, here is how I did it. I just love using different materials to do something different to a staple item that most people use.

Supplies you'll need

Bags

Glue Gun & Sticks

Ribbons

flower leaf's

Microfiber cloth

Stones

Branch

Twine

First you'll get all the bags you need a lot. Next pour some rocks in the bottom of the bag. Then fill it in with the rest of the bags in the bag.

I stuffed all the bags on top of the rocks. I used rocks to have the weight, then I tied the bag.

Next I grabbed my microfiber cloth and wrapped it around my bag of rocks. After doing this I learned I should of stuck the stem in now. For my stem I just used a tree branch form my backyard.

After I tied this tight and doubled knotted it I took some burlap twine and tied it around to create lines up and down like real pumpkins.

Next I cut off all the extra microfiber cloth.

Here I had to push in the stem and add glue. Again, I suggest you do this step when tying the pumpkin it would of been a smarter easier move.

Next I wanted to add some ribbon for embellishments I twisted by ribbon to make some tales and made a circle with the polka dotted ribbon and again used twine

With the twine I tied it tight right in the middle so it'll giving me a fancy bow.

I had this diamond button and this lace ribbon left from another project and I used them to add some more bling. Who doesn't like bling?

I tide and glued it all onto the stem

Here it is with the added ribbon and leaves that I used off the flowers I bought at the dollar store

Love it on my farmhouse wood table.

This is a super easy and inexpensive way to get your fall décor started and a great alternative to the traditional orange pumpkin. So I hope I have inspired you to try something new for your fall décor. Find new items at Gilbert Marketplace
