how about grouping them together...sanding...painting and distressing, and adding a gorgeous stain flower or mandela in the middle ?

They are adorable. You pretty much have a blank canvas. I think what you do with them depends on what you plan to do. Will they all be part of one room or split up to different rooms? Will you be selling them? Your idea sounds pretty but you can also paint them in bright colors to give a pop of color to a room. You could stencil them or modge podge an image to the top. The possiblities are endless. Have fun!
I would box in the bottom with 1x4s, and then run fence pickets bottom to top (slant intended) about 6" above the table top and make an outdoor planter for a clay pot
Thank you all for your inspiring ideas. I'm thinking of painting the legs white and upholstering the top so the kids can use them as stools. I've never upholstered before, any tips?
