How to use the in between wall space for a pantry ?
In desperate need of a pantry..is it a good ideal to use the space where you would normally have insulation ? Was thinking of frameing it out and using sliders.

On an interior wall, yes it is possible. If on an exterior wall, I wouldn't, as if you live where it gets cold or snows, your pantry items will too. Consequently if it gets really hot in summer, your canned goods could spoil. Insulation is there for a reason.
I agree with Naoimie. Yes to interior walls, No to exterior walls. Use the studs in my workshop for spray paint cans, stain cans. Even hang hand tools in the spaces and installed handmade doors.
I agree with Namoie, only on an interior was would I do recessed shelving. You could make a rolling pantry in that space next to frig and stove.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6nCXps2O4lI

Hi, studs in the walls are typically 18 inches or 24 inches center to center of each stud and 4 inches deep. Older homes that have lath inside the walls making it impossible to do any type of easy inset. Instead of looking for wall space, consider the space under the upper cabinets. A 4 to 6 inch deep shelf between the cabinet and the counter (maybe even 2) will hold quite a few cans. You can even cut white vinyl to the sizes of the cans, put velcro on the white "coat", wrap the cans and with a washable magic marker write on the cans what the contents are. When the can's finished, just remove the coat and use on another can!
These are great ideas. We have a pantry that has a wall that is under the stair landing. The builder was going to just wall it off. I wanted to use that space for storage and had the builder frame it so I could put in unfinished sets of drawers. 2 of them 3 feet wide with 3 drawers each. great idea I thought and the builder is using this for his new houses now.
Agree with Naomie
Only inside walls
