What can I do for my double front door that has holes?

    Were they wood or glass? To be honest Dan, I'm having a hard time picturing it. Are the holes all the way through? Were they inserts that fit into a niche? What material is the door? I'd love to be helpful with this, if I knew a bit more.

      Hi Cynthia! actually I have a similar question the original poster: my 1976 wooden front entry door has 3 boreholes that go entirely through the door as a result of my removing some useless clunky doorbell. Have any ideas how I can fill these in to try and preserve some sort of insulation factor? I have an address plaque that will go over the front of the door, but I would like to fill everything in before I address the cosmetics.

    Hi! I have used something like this before, to cover holes in a door. Painted to match, it looks pretty good (and saves the door). There are also smaller security plugs you can buy if you don't like the plate. Hope that helps you! Good luck and stay safe!
