I need to redo the floor in my kitchen- how can I go about it?

I have linoleum and really don't care what I put in there or how I go about it. I just can't afford to pay someone to do it for me.

    Hi Michelle,
It sounds like a floating floor will serve your needs as long as the linoleum is not damaged or loose. Click here to learn what you need to know to get started with your research. Then head to Lowes, Home Depot or any similar store to see what's available in your area. Wishing you the best.

One DIY option would be to use construction adhesive and create a penny floor. Once you glue all the pennies down, you would need to fill the gaps with either grout or clear epoxy or something. it would be super labor intensive, but would look amazing. https://www.usalovelist.com/penny-floor-made-in-usa/ I did see where one person used a car clear coat instead of epoxy, in case you can get ahold of that for less money.

Another option is stick on linoleum tiles. Some of them look really good now and they can be cut with a straight edge and a utility knife. I recommend (after not having done it) adding some tile adhesive under them. They can go right over the existing linoleum.
