Can anyone give me advise on wasps??

Or call in an exterminator. And then have the exterminator do a thorough examination and plug up or screen off any point of entry for any pest. I have successfully erridicated a wasp nest once, but I was lucky and caught it while they were building.

You've heard all the horror stories, here's mine. My mother developed an allergy to wasps, etc., in her 50's. She was bit, could not breathe and an ambulance was called. She kept her emergency kit with her always and got it refilled when it expired. I am allergic to many things, but wasp, etc., bites just swell up to twice normal size and antihistamines knock them and me out. Be safe,sjw, and let us know how it goes!

I had the same problem in some out-buildings. Hornets kill wasps and wasps will not go anywhere they think hornets are nesting. So I made some "hornets nests." I got a lunch-size brown paper sack, filled with plastic grocery bags and tied off the top with some jute with enough extra to tie to what you have handy. Make a hole in the sack for "hornet entrance/exit." I crumpled the bag up to make it look natural and hung it in a tree. I also put in the attic and I've not been bothered by wasps since. Hope it works for you.

I, too, had a wasp problem. About 3 years ago, I did this and have not had a problem since. The best part-it's free! Go to the grocery store and get a large brown paper grocery bag. Fill it with plastic bags (like from a dollar store, grocery store, etc.) Gather the top of the paper bag and secure. I used some jute to do this. Hang in an area on your porch where it won't get wet. The wasps think it is a hornet's nest. (That's why is needs to be brown) BTW, it does not work on dirt dobbers or any other flying insects - only wasps.

When it is cool outside like early morning you can spray the hole or nest and the wasp will come out and fall to the ground because most wasp they normally do not fly when it is cool out or cold. I used a 1/4 cup of vinegar, 1/2 cup warm water, 1/2 cup of sugar and 1 teaspoon of salt mix it up and put it in a sprayer. and a little bit of cooking oil.

It will drop them. then you do whatever it takes.

I doubt there is much of a way to deal with this without killing them. With your allergy issues and kids, I would want to be sure the insects are completely gone. Your options are to seal up the hole with them inside, or lure them out before sealing the hole. I found a wasp trap last year at a hardware store that is a plastic bag with a pheromone powder-you add water and hang it away from walkways or play areas. It was really potent and drew a huge amount of bees wasps and hornets.
