I am painting kitchen cabinets want to know best way to do it?

You're supposed to be able to use chalk paint without having to sand first. If that's not a look you want, you'll need to sand the stain and sealer off then wipe all the sanding dust off. Also, mark doors and hardware so you know which ones go with which - and where they go back when you're done.

Do Not use chalk paint, it will not last more than a year, and who wants to repaint cabinets that quickly. Gently sand, or use a gripping primer. I used a Wagner spray painter the sprayed several light coats of paint, letting it dry completely between coats. If you purchase a good acrylic paint you will not have to seal the cabinet. Spray painting eliminated brush and roller marks.

Hi! Your prep work will determine your outcome. I would at least sand and seal the cabinets before painting. Use a good quality sealer like Kilz so you don't get bleed through from the wood. Buy a good quality paint intended for cabinets (I don't recommend chalk paint for in the kitchen). Use a good sealer that dries clear. Hope that helps!

A good quality paint can also have primer already in it. Remove hardware first, and keep a wet rag handy to quickly wipe away any mistakes.
