Distance from microwave to eating area?

What would be considered the maximum distance from a microwave to the eating area used daily. I have a microwave in the prep pantry but it is quite a distance from the eating area. Maybe I should add another microwave that is closer to the table???

  In a microwave near the eating area, we mostly would do warm-ups and use it for thawing vegetable--not major cooking.

  Then one in the pantry area should be enough. When I am at work, I heat up my lunch in the staff lounge then wait and take an elevator to my floor and walk halfway across the building to my office. Food still hot.

I have my microwave in the kitchen in the same place as I always do, by the coffee maker. My hubby sits on a stool right there and eats all the time. The food won't cool off that fast.
