Lightly sand. Prime with a good primer like Zinseer or Kilz, light sand, tack cloth to remove dust, then paint with a good Kitchen & Bath paint, best to use satin or semi-gloss finish, probably 2 coats. Take off all the doors and drawers and number them, and make a chart where they go. Remove hardware. I usually paint in the garage or outside on top of buckets or saw horses. I use a 6" smooth foam roller and drag off any texture with a good badger brush.
