What can I do about Salt damp?

Can you help please my daughter sleeps in a room that has no window am getting a skylight yet there seems to be salt damp starting to creep into the room. It cost heaps from companies just wondering is there anything i can do

I have heard of it, but have never seen in person, but looks deadly, as the resulting mold can cause a host of health problems. The DIY fixes do not look easy either.

Just a thought......would a dehumidifier work? It would take out the moisture. Portable ones are not that expensive.

In the meantime half fill a bowl with salt (yes Salt) and place it near the wall. It should draw out of the wall any damp. You will need to empty the water out that collects and place bowl in microwave to help dry out salt and then place it back again IN THE ROOM.
In most states it is against the law got a bedroom to have no window, get her out of there.
Without any window in the room it's limiting air movement and drawing dampness into the room. You need to solve the dampness or it can cause more than efflorescence. Mold can be a big health problem.
