First Burn Out old Colour, Then VVet Scarach all over, Then Apply vvhite Putty Rub it vvith fine Sand Paper, Let It Bone Dry, Spray Paint of Your Choice.
Go to an auto paint supply store. Get proper supplies like the proper sandpaper. Bondo any holes, sand off any loose paint and prime with self-etching primer. For a nice looking paint job, apply at least two coats of primer and sand in between. Finally, rent a good quality paint sprayer and practice with it to make sure you can evenly apply paint.
Many years ago I repainted the fender on my MBZ using matching paint from an auto supply store. My mechanic asked where I had had the work done because it was such a nice job. You CAN do it but be prepared to the do prep work if you want the paint to last.
