What's the best edge/ border for my flower bed?
I'm wondering about the best edge/ border for my flower bed? There were old timbers
that are rottening and would prefer not to use that again.

What do you have available? Red bricks, flashing, cinder block? Larger rocks?
We used to use wood too but it always seems to rot after a while so we replaced ours with concrete edging. There's a wide variety to choose from too
Hi Valerie,
Your options are pretty limitless. Are you looking for a raised edge or flat border. Assuming raised due to having timbers. This link has multiple border ideas.. The bottles are pretty unique and might be a little iffy for me if mowing and weed-eating next to them. Rusty pipes cut down would look neat. Copper would be way to expensive and someone might take during the night... Bowling balls are interesting and you could add flat marbles for a design on them and would be amazing.. I just made a garden ball with one.

At my house I used bricks as the existing hardscape already had bricks in the design. This just repeated the use for a more cohesive appearance. What is in your hardscape that bears repeating?
