How to make antique mirror from new mirrors.

I want to install mirrors in antique door and i would like them to look old. Cost of mirror is $1000. So there must be someway to get the same results for less.

    Hey Judy, you could look into your local glass place and see how much they would charge to get the panels you need cut to size. It will be SIGNIFICANTLY less than $1,000 FOR SURE. From there you can purchase mirror spray paint that you can paint the backs of the glass with. It will not be a "perfect" mirror, it will actually give you more of what you're looking for. The last mirror spray paint I tried was called "Krylon Looking Glass Silver-Like Aerosol Spray Paint 6 Oz." and I ordered it on Amazon, it created a pretty cool look.

      If you get the mirror spray paint you can just use that to spray paint the back of glass or even plexi glass and it would give you the look you're going for at far less cost then actually buying mirrors.

    Rustoleum Mirror Magic spray paint is another one. Spray the back of plain glass to convert it to a mirror.
