I'd like to see what makes a bathroom romantic? I'm redoing mine.

I only have one bathroom in the center of the house. It hasn't been touched since 1962. Need soft, romantic, look.

    A romantic bathroom?

Does sound strange but I want to relax, unwind. Do you think nature colors are relaxing? Like creams, green, tan?

Hi Joy, I find soft and romantic comes from dim and gentle lighting. When remodeling I would keep this in mind and make sure and have task lighting so when you want some serious bright light you can have it but you can also shut it off and have the soft romantic light you're looking for.

On the same idea. I have a double slipper tub in my bathroom that i love to just soak and unwind in and I had some trouble figuring out some quiet lighting and I ended up just bringing in a regular table lamp and setting it on a little table near the tub. It provides just enough light so I can still read and the table is great for a glass of wine lol

Paint it a "romantic" color; pink or lavender come to mind. Hang prints of flowers and have a shower curtain that has flowers. Use floral designs on bathroom accessories. Have flowering plants in bathroom, use soft large towels. Keep it very clean and sweet smelling.

Flowers and candles for sure! Have a swan shower curtain that I love. Thanks for your reply!

Definitely stick to a warm light not a harsh white light. Bathtubs are awesome like GrandmasHouseDIY suggested. You can find affordable chandeliers and fancy vanity lighting for the luxurious look.

THAT'S NOT ROMANTIC, YOU WANT RELAXING. Relaxing would be your light colors like sea foam, cream, light blue, mint green. It's probably an individual taste. Think spa colors., nothing loud or bright. Also, a dimmer switch on your lights might be helpful.
