they break where the two doors meet. :The hole is big, and wont'fit a screw. I have two cabinets with no doors.

You could buy a wooden dowel the size of the hole, use wood glue to add a piece in the hole, and then drill a pilot hole for your pull screw. I get mine at True Value Hardware store.
Use Elmer's wood filler. Fill the holes. Let it dry. If it shrinks, fill the holes again. You can then use any type of handles you want to. Sand and paint the doors.
