Can you paint resurfaced kitchen cabinets? If so, how?
Our condos were built in the 70's. It seems they used the cheapest kitchen cabinets possible. They are resurfaced.
Stained cabinets need a good primer like Zinseer B-I-N to prevent stain bleeding through paint. Of course a real good cleaning, a light sand and tack cloth off to remove dust before priming and painting. I like to lightly sand my primer too, and tack it off, cause I like super smooth paint jobs. I use Kitchen and Bath paint, semi-gloss to keep it each to use, but I also like satin finish.
Make sure you use a good stain blocking primer. If you use a paint sprayer instead of rollers or brushes you will get a better finish. I have a wagner sprayer it is good. Some people like the homerite sprayer.
