What is killing our plants and trees?

We have a corkscrew willow tree that suddenly turned brown and died quickly. Some of our scrubs look bad too. We've had to dig some up and replace. What's going on?

  • Oh not good! Trees and shrubs dying can get expensive to replace. First place to start would be to have your soil tested. Have you had a lot of rain? Or run off from another property that may have contained toxic chemicals of some sort? Do you use well water? Another local resource would be your Ag Extension, they may have suggestions that I may have overlooked.

I would check any mulch around shrubs.
