Ideas for finishing and unfinished laundry room?
Our basement level laundry room is unfinished. We are looking for tips on finishing the walls and ceilings - and need to work around vent pipes, duct work, and a tight budget!

Hi, instead of looking at the pipes and duct work as obstacles, embrace them as works of art. Paint them to complement your color scheme or get funky. Use chip board for the walls. It has interesting wood patterns and either stain it or cover it with peel and stick floor tiles. Use bright colorful posters all over the walls and be sure and add lots of lighting. Proper lighting is essential to a good work space. Use peel and stick carpet tiles on the floor. Happy building!

Hi there, painting the walls and ceiling should do the trick. WRT hiding the pipes and stuff look for shelves that would fit in that space, or build them yourself. You can also add some fake/real plants. Several pretty potted plants in front of the pipes should keep the plumbing out of view.
