I have a small cement slab patio and I want to cover it with brick to make it look more inviting and blend with my house. Is this something I can do?

Yes you can! If your concrete is sound and fairly smooth you can lay a frostproof brick pacer on top of it.

Best way for concrete. Plan your design. Glue bricks around the perimeter of the slab with concrete landscape adhesive in caulk tubes. This will hold the bricks in the center. Then just lay your pattern down. Some bricks may need to be cut. To cut bricks use a chisel and hammer. Score a line around the brick along the cut until it breaks. Once all the bricks are laid down pour sand on top and sweep the sand into the grooves. The sand will lock the bricks together. And you done. You may need to add more sand as it settles or after a rain.

A great idea! I’m going to do this with preformed 6x6x2in concrete blocks. I’m thinking of painting the border stones before laying them down to give a good visual border. What kind of sealant/protectant should I use once the stone is in place to protect it from the weather? Thanks

If I knew it was all it took, I would have done it a long time ago. Thanks soooooo much.

Hey Mike Cohen. No sealant is needed for manufactured stone. they're made to be outside.
