Hi, my sweet friends!

Welcome to the May Pinterest Challenge Blog Hop! You may have seen my last month’s post for the challenge, it was a rustic tin vase on the cheap. But if you are new to the blog you would be wondering what I am talking about so let me explain it.

The purpose of this Pinterest Challenge is to motivate all the participants of this hop (and you too) to not just pin, but to make it happen!

So this month I decided to give a beaten sideboard a makeover and turn this trash into a two-tone sideboard treasure. Do you want to see how I did it?

I found some time ago a beautiful two-toned dresser that Ann Marie from the blog 'Twice Lovely' transformed years ago and loved the contrast of colors. See what I mean?

The thing is that a friend cleared out her basement and asked me if I wanted some of the things she had there, including a huge sideboard/dresser which was full of mold because she lives by the sea.

I am sharing on my blog the links to the products I used in case you are inspired to make your own two-toned sideboard version.

Can you see what I mean?

Time to sand that baby down so the first thing to do was to remove all the knobs.

I also sanded the top to get rid of that kinda honey look. You will find all the details about the grid I used and the stain, link at the bottom of this post.

Once stained I was going to weather it. You can check the post I wrote on  how to weather wood, I promise it’s really easy and the results are just amazing.

Also, I didn't use a brush to paint it, that's it has that flawless finish.

Don’t you love it too? I used my  homemade chalky paint in a off-white.

If you are wondering about the picture on top you can read about how I  repurposed an old frame as a gift to my husband, and you will find on the blog many more pictures of the sideboard and the gorgeous top it has.
