Hello, my husband and I purchased a 60 year old Arcadian Farm House. The kitchen walls were completely covered with wallpaper. We put hot water in a spray bottle, and use a paint scraper. We let the water sit for a few moments, than we scrap it off . It took some time, but it really worked. We painted the walls and now our kitchen is beautiful. I hope this helps. Take care and have a great weekend.
Score score score and then score some more, then steam away! The more you score, the better the steam gets in, the easier to remove.

Any tool rental will have what you need!
Hi! Well this is perhaps too simple an answer but...I had this same situation...paper was not damaged and I just assumed it would be a horrible job. Also in place from previous homeowners and aged 23 years. But we gently lifted a corner and pulled it right off...clean painted drywall underneath. All paper removed in and hour or so. Yours may not go as smoothly but don't head for chemicals and sharp tools too quickly...it may be quick and easy for you too!
First, score it with a wallpaper scoring tool. Then, mix about 1 cup of liquid fabric softener with warm water in a large bucket and apply liberally with a soft t-shirt. Let it set for about 10 minutes to soak in the holes. Then peel. The paper should come right off!~
Dear Muss...the fabric softener trick WORKS AWESOMELY! I did 2 rooms this way with NO TROUBLE! The paper was at least 15 years old in both rooms.
