Simple way to paint kitchen cupboards?

Did you stain or paint? If you stained the cabinets, did you seal them? If you stained them, then how is paint rubbing off? I am confused? What steps did you take when you stained or painted them?

What did you paint them with? Did you properly prepare the cabinets prior to refinishing them? To many variables to answer, but you may have to strip to solve the problem.

I bought a box that had "all that is needed" to refinish cabinets. It was to do entire kitchen. It had all steps covered.

I did this awhile ago and don't have the box. The surface of our cabinets....don't know..they are original with our home built in 2000.
