During my first year in high school I was asked to my first dance and I also received my first bouquet of flowers from someone other than my dad! I wanted to remember these flowers in a special way, so this is what my mom and I came up with!

I wanted to remember my first bouquet of flowers in a way that wasn’t just in a photo.. so my mom and I placed them in an old window frame!

We hung the flowers, letting them dry completely.

We then used hot glue to stick them to decoupage paper after we arranged them to our liking.

Once glued, we secured it in the window (after cleaning it out and making sure there were no fingerprints on the glass of course), and then used frame backing/dust cover paper to seal everything off. We used double sided tape all along the frame, placed the backing paper over it (making sure it was tight with no bumps or anything in it), then used the box cutter to trim the backing paper down to size.

After adding D-Ring (or strap hangers) to the back of the window, we added framing wire to make hanging easier (D-Rings and framing wire do a good job of holding up heavier frames etc).

16 years later and I STILL have this Antique Window Frame hanging up in my house!
