How good are they? Do they clean corners & do you first have to move everything out of the way? Have heard mixed opinions so would appreciate feedback. Thanks!

I have one and I love to use it in between heavier vacuuming. I simply start it up, close my bedroom door, and let it do its thing. It will make your carpeting look fresh and clean. I haven’t used it on my wood floors since I swifter those. I have a Bob Junior. It didn’t cost a fortune and I love it. I heavy vacuum weekly.

  • Mine was a gift, a popular expensive Roomba. Did I mention expensive??? I have pets. Worthless hunk of junk. It just randomly wanders your house and it did not do that great a job. At the time, I had carpet and laminate, did not even do a "passable" job in my opinion. If I had no pets it might be "okay" but if you expect it to suck up stuff, don't , because it doesn't.

Plus it took hours and hours! And my house is small. Now I pull the vacuum cleaner out, give it a good vacuum, done!

If you want a fancy expensive electronic toy, go for it. Want to clean? Do it yourself or hire a cleaning lady.

I have a rumba and love it. I have 2 lamps on an extension cord and that needs to come up off the floor, and it is not good if you have an area rug with fringe or curtains draped on the floor. It doesn't do corners very well on the carpet

depending on the placement of your furniture, area, etc., it may take a while for 'it' to map your floor plan--- if you're into rearranging your furniture frequently you may not be really happy with it... most will traverse from smooth floors to low pile carpets/rugs with no issue and the more you use it, the less frequently you will have to empty the waste drawer ... the only one I have any experience with is the 'Shark' -- but have been pleased.

I had a dog that thought my robot vacuum cleaner was her own personal electronic toy and would chase it, biting at it, all over the house. Yes - Absolutely worthless on dog hair.
