How to clean and seal a large deck?
I have a deck that wraps around two sides of my house which is 53' x 32'. recently when i was ill a group of well meaning teens under supervision of adults who "knew what they were doing" pressure washed and then instead of stain, used paint. they did not wait for it to dry before painting and within 1 year everything was peeling. result, deck looks awful. I need to get the paint off and stain, then seal the deck. Need some ideas on what to do and how.

Ouch....I feel for you! 🙀
Try a high pressure power washer. It may get all the peeling paint off. If not you are going to have to scrape and sand. When it is completely dry you will be able to stain and seal with Thompsons Water sealer.
