My mature grapefruit tree is looking pretty droopy. Help?

This grapefruit tree is on a regular drip system that gives it water to the roots every day. Summers here are very very hot but I wonder if too much water is not good.

If leaves turn yellow, it generally indicates too much water, but much of the country is experiencing high temps, requiring a great deal of water for plants. Have you tried mulching to control evaporation? If you suspect too much water, reduce the amount, or try watering every other day, to better determine the problem. Perhaps it needs fertilized, as too much water can leach nutrients.
