Linoleum planks or ceramic

Linoleum planks have come a long way in the way they look and perform. A friend recently replaced his tile floor with the planks and immediately they noticed the difference in the reduction of "clatter" kinds of noise, the floor felt softer/smoother underfoot, the dogs and kids didn't slip around, something dropped on the floor didn't automatically break, and the floor was much much easier to clean without the grout lines. Even with regular cleaning their ceramic tiles often looked messy with fuzz/lint that seemed to get caught on the narrow grout lines. Ceramic tiles also tended to rise up/sink down over the years, which led to them cracking and not looking as nice. With the quieter, sleeker floor, they say their kitchen has a much more soothing mood to it.

LVT product...looks like tile, has some texture, can be grouted, or not...warmer on the feet in bathroom than ceramic tile...less chance of breakage of items dropped.
