If it was grown in a greenhouse, it may not adapt to ground planting, but try it in the Fall. Fertilize with bulb food. Mulch after first frost.

Lilies do best when planted in Spring or Fall when the plant is dormant. Until it can be planted outdoors, continue to water the dying plant regularly to prevent the bulb from drying out. When all danger of frost is over, trim off dead foliage and plant the bulb outdoors.
