Not a good idea to put contact paper on kitchen counters... think flammable and will be damaged it you put anything hot on them.

Hi Marie, If your renting I'd skip the contact paper on the counter. You landlord should sign a paper giving you permission to do so. If you put the paper down, you might have to remove it. This is one job you don't want to do. If you decide to do this the best brand is

    Con-Tact brand. Good Luck!

    Hi Marie,

The best brand to try is the original Contact paper. Several of our Hometalk members have posted this as a project. You must remember to never put anything hot on a contact paper counter though. To create a round edge, use something like parchment paper to make a template then draw that on your contact paper before putting it down. Click on the link below to see what other Hometalk members have done. Wishing you the best.

Mother used contact paper on her counter top....originally was linoleum. She changed it when it got bad, which was not often and looked so pretty in her kitchen. As to the corners, might have to clip the contact paper to make it go around the corners.
