Look for estucheons, metal plates made specifically for that purpose. It should be right in the cabinet knobs/pulls section at the store or online. They have 2 holes predrilled for cabinet pulls and hide the center hole on the cabinet front.

What material is the drawer made from? You can fill the holes or use a backplate.
