French Toile De Jouy, Bosporus, Fabric Chair

Well hello! I have a fabric addiction to ALL fabric! There said it! It is a sickness but I recently made a rather large mistake with paint or not to paint and fabric choices for a lovely chair.
I absolutely love her now. She sits in the living room, center stage.
newly re-upholstered toile lovely
She didn't always look like this though. She is now sanded and waxed! I made the huge mistake of painting the chair white then picking this rich fabric! Wow what a mistake I made, live and learn. The wood on her had great patina, soft and worn. I ruined her. My heart was broken.

Won't do that again very soon. I've promised myself to be patient and live with something for a little while before I pick up that paint brush again!

Thankfully, I've put the brush down for a time. Summer is upon us here and in the triple digits, so off I go inside sewing for me now.
sanded with some white still showing
I had to carefully sand AFTER she was done! YIKES It took quite a while, to get by the fabric piping without ruining it or getting her dusty.

I tried sandpaper AND liquid sandpaper! Not sure I like that stuff but wow if you "wait" a few minutes then start rubbing, paint comes off! Going to play with that more, but only when it cools down, probably Winter! lol

I'm off to the next project! Organizing that craft room! Kat =^.^=, addicted to fabric!

PS I'd love to hear your take on "liquid sandpaper." The jury is still out for me! lol
