How to build a Greenhouse / atrium?
I'm building a new house and want to include a greenhouse / indoor atrium in the design. I'm looking for suggestions on how to do this.

part of your roof will need sky lights over the atrium area. beware...some can leak if not checked regularly. use a weather resistant floor, preferably with a drain. those plants will need water, this means plumbing. add a potting bench for trimming plants, and up planting to larger pots and may be some grow type lights- full spectrum bulbs to supplement the winter light. if you are in a colder area, you may want heat in that room. there are green house supply companies, 1 is directly north of me. it has an on line catalog, farm tek, growers supply company- Dyersville Iowa.
they specialize in green houses, can pre fab and deliver materials. they are a cool bunch to work with. my veg garden is above ground in commercial grow sacks, look up their phone number and pick their brains.
