I would love to add molding, new hardware and paint to spruce up those sturdy cabinets. Where do I start?

  I had wanted to add moulding. I have seen simialr tutorials...but the wood has a beveled edge and would need filler. Sounds like it may be too much?

  I think for others to add some advice about the molding, a picture might help? Are you wanting to add molding to the actual cabinet doors?

  You don't necessarily have to add the molding around the outside edge. You could add molding say an inch or two from the edges of the cabinets like these links below show, which would update nicely, one of them actually added beadboard inside the molding and that looks nice also:

Tough the put molding on beveled edges. Can be done but the molding would need to fabricated to fit. Wood filler would not work. It would just pop out. You can put molding Along the edge just before the door bevels.
