What do I need??
I draped a sheer over a shower rod. I get little light in my kitchen. It’s total woods behind my house. After hanging the sheer, it looks bare. Or maybe it’s just me. Ideas??

Hi Lori, It seems short I think. How about splitting the sheer so it's longer? Or trying a tablecloth?
Lori, I would just hang a small valance. Here are some links for you to see what I mean. My kitchen is also dark, so I made a little macrame valance that doesn't block out any light. I get a lot of compliments on it.

I used a pretty table runner, once. You can also use cloth napkins
maybe red to go with the paper border you have. You might have to cut them so they are triangle in shape, tack together with a few stitches and get self stick Velcro to attach to the pole, that way you can remove it to wash. Yo could also stitch on tassels or Pom poms to the tips for some fun.
Use color appropriate bandanas, each hanging half over, half under, with the V facing each side.
Actually Lori, what you have done is very effective. You do have, in effect, a valance. You do not want anything, darker, layered, or fuller. What you have is fine as would be nothing at all.
Can you add mirror inserts into a cabinet that is on a wall to the left or right of the window?
You could put a pair of sheer or lace curtains that are short along the middle of the window (that way you can open during the day and close in evening) and it will give it a more full look
