We found this old frog at a craft and antique fair. My husband just had to have it. It is quite Rusty but has a certain charm

In all his rusted glory

I started by picking it up to remove the old moss. Immediately I was stung

Small wasp nest.

I ran to my phone and looked up wasp stings in Pinterest. They recommended vinegar and lavender. Since I am an avid enthusiast in doTERRA quality I just happened to have some.

I have had no pain with this process.

I had moss already so I began working it in. There is very little support on this guy do it is tricky to make things stay in place.

These are the succulents I purchased at a local shop along with some air plants I already had

I began in the rear with the largest and most colorful plant

I also used air plants that I had

Here is a side view

And the final project. I will need to water daily because there is so little soil. To finish it off I glued a tin star in the center. It adds texture and a bit of color.

Love it!! Did the vinegar take the sting a way, or did it change the frog's look? Both, I hope!!!

What did the vinegar have to do with the Frog? Very misleading. Whomever is in charge of doing the headline, should be sure it fits the actual project.

is that wallpaper behind the frog on the counter? it looks like the paintable wallpaper that I haven't seen in a while.

The intro for this implies you used the vinegar on the frog sculpture.....a mit misleading. Glad it helped your sting.

That was in the Hometalk Weekly email I get. I clicked to read this because it said: "She washes this old garden art with vinegar & look at it in her yard a little while later". I think someone wrote that caption after scrolling quickly through without reading.

Really cute. I’d love to do this. Don’t know what’s wrong with others commenting on the vinegar. It’s a great tip. Wish I’d read this before I got stung twice earlier this year. Ouch!!!
