Can you put some privacy film on the windows? Or eliminate the sheers altogether and use blinds that you can open and close or raise up and down.
How about a decorative white on white frosted film? Start at Home Depot as they stock some patterns.
If these suggestions don't deter the dog, you may have to put the dog in an area where it can't see the mailman, during his delivery times. Some people have trained their dog to go into it's crate, for this period, then praising the dog for remaining calm, after the mailman is long passed.
You can paint your glass to make it look frosted or stained.
