My Version of Farmhouse Signs

Decided to start my wood signs again, so started gathering more repurposed wood!!

So my husband and I always try to find repurposed wood fence slats to work with, sometime we hit the jackpot, and sometimes it’s slim pickings. so I grabbed a couple of pieces that I had and cut them in different sizes. I cut 6 pieces.

Once I cut them (in different sizes) I picked the colors I was going to use and painted each one. Made them looked distressed.

Once they were dried, I drew a letter on each piece of wood. (I used different fonts for each letter) Not sure if you can see the letters though.

After I drew the letters, (free hand, no stencil) I chose the colors I wanted to use on the letters, and begun to paint. I wanted them to stand out so I painted them with 2 coats.

Once the letters were dried, I added the brace for double security. Glued and nailed!

And here is my finished product! I love the way it came out. Now to start on this weeks challenge!!
