Any ideas to resurface the floor of a gross under sink cabinet?

I am fixing up my moms house for sale and the cabinet under her sink was gross. Just want to spruce it up and make it sanitary and presentable! Thanks!

I would say sanitize and paint with white enamel paint.

  • I'd get some scrap flooring and staple it down. Scrape first and deodorize. You can check your local Habitat Store for scrap cheap. Or you can buy new tiles at big box stores.

  • Peel and stick floor tiles.

Clean with bleach, let dry, then cover with those cabinet peel on contact paper, lots of pretty designs, you can even do the drawers, where you don’t have to take the backing off, just line them.

Hi Sam If the floor is in good condition I have done what Naomie suggested I measure and put if I needed to make cuts I had a cut tile on either side and the back. Hope that helps good luck with your project

We had that same problem when we moved into the house we still live in. I cleaned under the sink out as good as I possibly could. Went to Lowe's and they cut me a piece of plywood to fit under my sink. I covered the plywood with some dollar tree contact paper. They have different kinds so choose what you prefer of course. We did this at least ten years ago and it looks as good today as it did the day we installed it. Good Luck!

What I did, was bought peel and stick tiles. It makes it easy to clean. Don't buy any tiles with a pattern this way you will not have to match it up. I learned my lesson the hard way.

Scrape it of all gooey stuff and wipe clean with Windex. Then place self-stick paper like Contact paper down and you should be happy.
