Make Quick & Easy Garden Flowers Using Plastic Clothes Pins

I'm always looking for ways to add some fun to my gardens, and I love wandering around dollar stores because I never know what I'll be inspired to bring home with me. On a recent visit I saw some lovely plastic clothes pins, and I couldn't resist picking up a few packages.

I loved the fun, bright colors and I immediately thought of turning them into some quick and easy garden flowers.

Once I picked up my clothes pins I started looking for something for the center of the flowers, and I found a package of 4 plastic coasters. There were 4 different colors in the package... orange, green, purple, and blue. Perfect!

Making these is very simple. Add a dab of E6000 glue to one side on the inside of the clip and then press it together for a second so the glue is on both sides.

This allows the clothes pin to be easily glued on both sides of the coaster.

Once you have all your clothes pins in place let it cure for at least 24 hours.

Just like when I made my folding steamer/strainer flowers I used stainless steel spoons for hanging.

And I glued the spoon onto the back of the coaster, again using the E6000 and letting it cure for another 24 hours.

And here's my finished flower. The spoon is simply slipped into a piece of pipe that I salvaged from an old patio swing.

Here it is with two others that I made with different color combos. I've put this trio in our shady hosta garden to add some fun color, and they won't get too much sun exposure there. We can see them from the front kitchen window, and they greet us every morning when we leave the house to go to work. Such a happy way to start every day.

Is there another glue you could recommend to use. I have allergies have to be careful of certain glues. The less toxic the better, but of course I want it to work also.
