Hi Felicia, Replace missing tiles. Rake out old Grout and re-grout. Or you could cover with New tiles or Acrylic Panels cup and screwed to the walls. Hope you find that helpful.

Hello again. (Cup and Screw) is a metal or plastic saucer/cup to take the screw and there is generally a cover for the screw head for protection that clips over. Acrylic Panels - Sheets of Plastic in clear colours or Opaque that could be used in a shower. Hope that explains things. You would need to seal with water tight mastic.

    Bet wishes.

Hey Felicia, is that vinyl flooring behind the tiles? From the pics I see, the proper cement board and a good waterproof is just not there.

Id even go as far as saying there is a good deal of water damage that’s covered by that vinyl too!

If it were my home, and I found what your showing in these pics, I would gut it. No joke! I see mold around the loose tiles and it’s just not something I’d play with.

You could give it another “try” to make the tiles stick to the wall, but I do not recommend it.

I agree with the person above, I do remodel work and based on the pictures you only option it open up the wall and have it done correctly if you plan to keep a ceramic wall, the cheaper solution would be to open up the wall by removing all the ceramic repairing any rotted wood and installing a good 3 piece tub surround (about $250 for surround at Lowes) trying to patch it will only cost you more in the long term.

You just have to get new tiles

The wood under those tiles is a rotted, moldy airborne illness factory.

It needs to be addressed, not hidden.

Don't waste your money trying to 'repair' or replace the loose tiles.

You will be just chasing your tail, while in the meantime the problem with the mold behind the walls worsens.

From the pictures you posted, it looks to me that many parts of the installation and finishing were not completed correctly in the first place.

Best to bite the bullet and tear the old damaged stuff out, then start new.
