No, these are not typically used anymore. Simply wipe the toilet lid with an all purpose cleaner than won't harm it.

LOL I would if I could find them big enough since most toilets are elongated. I've wasted many hours searching for them to no avail. May just buckle down and figure out how to make one. Let me know if you have any luck!
I replaced all my toilet seats with wood ones...love the "country" look...when I clean the bathroom, I wipe down the seat with cleaner then follow up with furniture polish to help preserve the wood.
