Get the wood out of there and do all Silver and Glass.

I would consider removing the glass shower doors and adding instead a two track shower rod with an inner liner and a shower curtain for the outer track which is primarily decorative. I removed the wood over-the-toilet storage in my small bathroom as it blocked so much light in the shower. Instead use a storage rack which has glass shelves to let the light through. A fresh coat of paint is always refreshing, along with colorful towels. Best wishes.

Good-Day; I would also remove the old style shower doors, get a solid piece of glass installed with a curve design and it should leave open area for entering and exiting tub. Or in the least use the curved double shower curtain idea. So many beautiful curtains available. Paint the room a pretty light gray with all white trim. Remove the wood fixtures as they are also dated and make the room look smaller. I suggest using Chrome fixtures with glass shelving or open shelving.

    Paint is your friend here.

If your trying to do this budget friendly, and if you’re a renter I have some suggestions.

Removing the glass doors would be different but they would change the light you have in your shower.

Using a rod and curtain to hide the doors if you hate them, is an option too.

Change your wall color with paint or a faux finish, wood strips like a chair rail.

I would suggest to pick a theme.

    Beachy, outdoors, bright, calm?

The shelf behind the toilet seems necessary. It’s dark and closes in the room so paint may work here. Even a material curtain to close in the stuff could work. Or the bins of baskets or what ever you organize with.

Dollar stors have great baskets you can use, cover with material or whatever.

Once you have your theme it will be easier to decide what to do.

Mid you like beach or outdoors, rope around the mirror with shells or just plain would dress up the mirror.

    Your imagination can run free.

Even just a few photos or decorations would help with doing nothing else.

Oh, I forgot to mention the sink cabinet. Paint it a crisp, clean white or if possible replace it.

Decide on your color palette first. Paint the walls, then paint the shelving, frame around the mirror and vanity constrasting colors to match. Cover the doors with a matching shower curtain. New pictures and a few accessories. Done!
