Want to create a fun space for your kids or grandkids? You can make a no-sew tent in under an hour with minimal materials! It's easy and the kids will love their new hang-out!

Watch our YouTube tutorial for instructions on completing this cute and fun play tent.

Start with some 1x2 boards, dowels, and an old sheet. Cut the boards to length according to instructions on the blog at Remodelaholic.com. Sand, then drill a 1" hole near both ends of each board.

Using a queen sized sheet, cut to 48" width. For simple tips, be sure to watch the video. Use fabric fuse to create lower loop for your dowel to slide through.

Now, line up two of your 1x2s and slide dowel into holes. You might need an extra set of hands here, as this stage can be flimsy until fully assembled. Attach dowel to other triangle at the top. You should now have a nice tent frame!

Insert the dowels through the top and bottom channels in the sheet, lay sheet over the top of your tent, and attach dowels to the bottom holes. If you feel your tent needs additional support, nail some boards across the bottom (see instructions and video).

Our contributor chose to add some pom poms for a little fun. You can get so creative here, but be sure to keep it safe for kids! We hope you have some little ones that love your creation!

Great idea! I'll have to give this a try . I'm sure it's something other family members won't have in their homes when the little guy comes to visit.
