I just poor in bleach and let it sit for an hour or so. I can’t say for sure how much bleach to use because I don’t measure, but if I had to guess I would say about a cup.

A few squirts of Dawn dish liquid, about a cup (by eye) of vinegar. Foam it up with a toilet brush. Let it sit for about an hour. Then scrub with the toilet brush. The suds suspend the vinegar above the water line. Just did this yesterday. I do it once a week.

Just pour a cup or so of vinegar in at night. (actually, anytime, it just needs to set for a few hours) Then take a toilet brush and swish it around. GONE! Bleach may sanitize but it doesn't remove the ring, it just removes the color from the ring.

Sometimes you just have to get in there and scrape it out with a knife blade, pumice stone, or a piece of screen. If it is hard water deposits, they really need to be physically removed. You can make them clean, or white, with various products, but they will just discolor again and be magnets for more deposits.

WD40 works great for rings in the toilet!

Use a pumice stone to scrub the "ring" out of the toilet. The ring is made up of minerals and dirt. Just bleaching it and using soap will not remove the minerals.
